4.DPIIT to Host Knowledge Sharing Workshop with Flipkart and Indian Toy Industry

Actionable Steps:Citizens are urged to report suspected fraudulent communications viathe Chakshu facility on the Department of Telecommunications’ Sanchar Saathi platform(https://sancharsaathi.gov.in/sfc/). This indigenous solution facilitates the near real-time delivery of life-saving emergency information to mobile phones via cellular networks, enhancing disaster risk management efficiency.
- AI Solutions Showcased: At the AI for Good Global Summit, organized concurrently with WSIS, C-DOT presented advanced telecom solutions, including an early warning alert system based on ITU’s Common Alerting Protocol (CAP) and Cell Broadcast Technology for Disaster Management. Additionally, C-DOT showcased ASTR (AI and Facial Recognition-powered Solution for Telecom SIM Subscriber Verification) aimed at detecting SIMs used in cyber fraud.
- Indian AI Startups Featured: Two Indian AI startups, DeepVision Tech and Nayancom, selected by C-DOT, showcased their innovative solutions at the event. Nayancom focuses on AI-based vision processing for improved road safety and smart city monitoring, while DeepVisionTech presented Let’sTalkSign, an automatic Sign Language Interpreter aiding the Deaf and Hearing Impaired community.
- Cyber Fraud Detection Solution: Dr. Rajkumar Upadhyay, CEO of C-DOT, delivered a keynote on “AI to the Rescue: Revolutionizing Cyber Fraud Detection, Prevention, and Reporting.” He discussed C-DOT’s AI-powered solution for detecting fraudulent mobile connections procured using fake documents. This platform employs next-gen AI/ML to generate proactive intelligence for curbing fake SIM procurement and neutralizing cybercrime syndicates.
